June Challenges

Hi Ladies,
Boy, I have I been busy this month.I want to share with you the 6 challenges I have done over at Soul Scrappers.

1.) Ebony and Ivory : by Shazza
We had to create a page using Black and Orange as your main color with a touch of White.
The photo I used was one of my Wedding pictures. Oh my, look how young I look, that was 23 years ago.

Bond of Love

2.) Then we have another challenge by Shazza, which was called SONG/LYRIC.
The song title ....... "You're the Voice" by John Farham
In this challenge we had to use a word...or a couple of words...or a sentence or even the song
title on your page. Here is the song:
                                     You're the Voice

We have the chance to turn the pages over
We can write what we want to write
We gotta make ends meet, before we get much older

We're all someone's daughter
We're all someone's son
How long can we look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun?

You're the voice, try and understand it
Make the noise and make it clear, oh, woah
We're not gonna sit in silence
We're not gonna live with fear, oh, woah

This time, we know we all can stand together
With the power to be powerful
Believing we can make it better

Ooh, we're all someone's daughter
We're all someone's son, oh
Give a look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun

You're the voice, try and understand it
Make the noise and make it clear, oh, woah
We're not gonna sit in silence

We're not gonna live with fear, oh, woah

Ooh, we're all someone's daughter
We're all someone's son
How long can we look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun?

You're the voice, try and understand it
Make the noise and make it clear, oh, woah
We're not gonna sit in silence
We're not gonna live with fear, oh, woah

the senctence I used was ...
"WE know we  all can stand together"

"We know we all can stand together
"This is Hannah and  her friends.

3.) Here is my techinque challenge by the Lean.
What we needed to do was to make a banner. Well, to tell you truth I have never made a banner for any of my submissions, so I did mine upside down. But it turned out really cute.

" Ellie Mae"
This is  Jennifer's new baby Kitty" Ellie Mae". She adopted it in May from the Animal Shelter  in Menomonie, WI. Ellie Mae has the most beautiful green eyes. I knew I just had to make a scrap page of her.
If you noticed my banner is upside down I didn't realize it until I had it finished, oh well, it turned out cute anyways.

Moving on the next challenge:

4.) Negative space Sketch  challenge by Debi.

Here is was I did, again this is my first try on negative space.

I wasn't to happy with this  submission, at least next time I'll know what I'm doing.

5.)  Then we have a Quote challenge by Marisa.
June's Quote was: "Every now and Then go away, have a little relxation, for when you
come back to work your judgement will be surer."
                                                                              by: Leonardo Da Vinic
Here is my take on her Quote challenge:

"Everything goes better with a glass of wine"

6.) This is my challenge for the Soul Scrappers ladies  The Word Challenge:
The word I picked out was Cherished.  Here is my submission.

"Cherished Memories"
The reason I picked this word Cherished, is for my Mom. This was the last picture of my Mom before she passed away 6 months later. Here she is holding her granddaughter which my baby girl Hannah. This picture was taken on Hannah's Baptism day, Sept 8th 1994. I just thought to myself what a beautiful picture and very cherished memory of my Mom.

Until next time have  a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.
Mary
