Word of the Month.... STILL

hello:)
Over at Soul Scrappers my  word challenge has been posted. This month I decide to go with STILL.
What about those things that, no matter what, will never change?? Things like personality traits, career choices, relationships, life choices that have worked out to your complete satisfaction?? those constants...those things that STILL going strong in your life???
And this is how i arrived at choosing STILL for your challenge this week...i want to see how those things in your life STILL make an impact...are STILL ever present...and are STILL a grounding force in amongst a time of year when we see the need for change.
Here is what I came up with. Here is my sample:)

My journaling reads:
I am a wife. I am a mother , I am a daughter, a friend. But  I am STILL me
Still just a girl.

ROADBLOCK On Amazing race.

Oops, your luggage has been misplaced on route to your next destination. Hangout in the airport while you wait for your luggage, and do a spot of duty free shopping while taking in the sites.

For this roadblock, you have 2 options....

1. Scrap a layout that includes a clearly visible camera or an item you can buy duty free, this is the one I did.
OR

2. partake in a photo challenge! Use your imagination to upload pics of the following...
a. a tourist
b. an aeroplane
c. a souvenir
d. luggage
e. the view out of the (plane) window

Buddin Photograper

Until next week, I'll be posting  more  Lo.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a wonderful day.

Amazing Race Stop 5 Europe

This leg of the race sees us landing in Europe...

Few places pack the punch of Europe. From its Northern Lights to its Southern shores, this drama queen keeps on thrilling, surprising and confusing with her extraordinary wealth of sights, sounds, peoples and parties.

Overwhelming it can be, confusing for sure – just perusing a map of the crowded Old World will reveal cities, mountain ranges, seas and even countries you may never have even heard of. But the good news is that whatever you decide to do here, you’ll leave blown away by the sights, sounds, tastes and other sensations you’ll experience: there simply is no way to tour Europe and not be awestruck!

Here we got to pick  either:   Holland, France, or Italy.

I pick Holland.

Hallo (hello in dutch) you have made it to HOLLAND!
Your sponsor for this leg of your journey is the wonderful Chloe and her gorgeous 'Rainbow Splendour' creations! If you bought the kit you may have already noticed a cute Rainbow Splendour pinwheel. This can be used to help you meet one of the criteria for this challenge.

The criteria to be include on your layout for this country are as follows:
1. A photo with MORE than two people to represent the dense population of Holland
2. Use some orange (must be visible) to support the national colour
3. Include a pinwheel as you can't go far without seeing a windmill

Here is mine:
It's Party Time.
I had used this photo of Hannah .
It was taken in Munich Germany. Where she and her friends met these guys.
They were from Italy.

October's Word challenge

October's Word Challenge over at Soul Scrappers is

                       TODAY
You be surprised by how many times you use the word Today.

know that each day i start a thread called "today i will"...and it has been cool (& a lot of help organization wise) to have someplace where i can sit for a few minutes & create my plan for the day...lots of it is all that mundane house-wife-y stuff...the laundry, the bills, vacuuming, call this person, don't forget that, etc...its all that stuff of the everyday...yeah...not too exciting lots of times...but despite it's lack of luster, I've learned immensely from it...
My journaling reads This:
This is the beginning of a new day.
You have been given this day to use as you will.

You can waste it or use it for good.

What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.
When tomorrow comes this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...

let it be something good.

The criteria to be include on your layout for this country are as follows:

1. Include Stars and stripes somewhere on your LO
2. Use the colours
Red, White and Blue3. Include Doodling somewhere your LO

Free
Instant of doing a scrapbook page. I decide  to do a mixed media canvas. Is where I paint and add different textures to the canvas.
I gave it texture by adding layers of tissue paper with Mod podge.
Then I  painted my stripes , then to make it dull I made a black misting , and misted.
Then I added the glittered stars, then addes the buttons to give it more 3-d affect.
I  like how it turned  out.
