Lately, I have been thinking about  my Mom so I have decide to do a couple more layouts on her. Here is my first one. She is with my Dad.

Hello blogging friends!  It has been more than a month since my last post - sorry!  It has been an insane month at work so haven't had a chance to be creative - boo hoo!  But alas!  I finally got a break this weekend, dusted off some paper, and tested my memory to see if I still knew how to create.

We have a new Team Designer over at http://soul-scrappers.ning.com/  she is doing a challenge called Scrap lift, something totally different for me. I'm always up for a challenge.

Each month she will be adding a different page to scrap lift and you are welcome to take whatever you can from the scrap lift example…….it could be the title, the colors, the embellishments, or even scrap lift the whole page…..

July Challenge is a Bit Pointy:

Well, here is something completely different.

 

This spiral building is in Cambodia .

Our inspiration for this month will test you. Some suggested spirals or pointy things, someone else said an ice cream cone .Our added criteria this month is to use a PIN.

 

                            

 

It's been awhile since I have played along with Julene's   Archi- Scraps.

 

I had this perfect photo, which was taken over Munich Germany.

It was taken by Hannah , when she was on her Germany Class trip.

Back in 1972 Munich hosted the Summer Olympia's.

The Olympic Park in northern Munich is well known beyond the borders of the capital city. The unique tent architecture of the buildings and the Olympic Tower are some of Munich’s well known landmarks. After the Olympic Games in 1972, a 300-hectare-sized park was developed into a recreation center for the entire city. Joggers, cyclists, and walkers take their laps here, and swimmers do lengths in the Olympic swimming facility.

Here is a Recipe challenge I did over at Soul Scrappers.

Ingredients
1 x Plain Card stock Background
1 x large circle pf pattern paper
3 x punched shapes (stars, hexagons, flowers, animals)
2 x photographs - mat only 1
1 x (2"x 12") patterned paper
2 x ribbons / washi tape
Rhinestones
1 x (1"x12") plain paper
Tear one of the above paper items
Inking / stamping / misting
Blend ingredients together to create a masterpiece for your album.

A Mother's love is a wonderful
thing you could never live without
it and it will always be there when you need it.

It Roses grow in Heaven Lord,
please pick a bunch fro me. Place them in my Mother's arms
and tell her they're from me.

Tell her that I love her and miss her.
and that when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.

Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there's an ache within my heart

 I have so much to you show I'm not sure where to start. So bare with me, we'll get started.

The Perks of a college Life

I really like how this turned out. What I did was use the brick wall stencil with texture paste, then I brushed brown ink to make the bricks look brown.

Art journaling

 Hello Ladies:)

I'm back with an update on mine Art Journaling pages, I have made 2 more pages.
My first page  was for Soul Scrapper's  April's Art Journal challenge and font technique.
For some reason, I just don't like my hand writing. To me it's too sloppy. Here is my page.

Renewal: Require opening yourself up to new ways of

thinking and feelings.

 

My next page took me a month to finish. It turn out great, I liked the results.

                    
                                   Here are my steps I did on this Technique


1:) I layer it with Drywall Tape.
2:) Then I added my gesso over the entire page,
then I let dry over night, to make sure it was completely dry.
3:) Then I sprayed it down with water  so it was dripping wet.
I got out my acrylic paints, bottom I did orange and top I did yellow
towards the middle I blended it together. Still keeping it wet, so paints
moved easy I wanted a thin layer. Again let it dry.
4:) I got some stencils and texture paste and my flowers or you call them
sun burst. Again another drying process.
5:)  I added black soft charcoal  around the flowers and added some black ink on the
flowers.
6:) I add green ink  of the bottom of the page again used water to make it run down the page, I also add some red ink too.
7:) Since the texture of the page was too rough to write on I just printed my quote  out and colored it with oil pastels.

When I was doing this Layout I was thinking of Spring. So I was digging thru my photos and came up with this lovely photo of Apple Blossoms.

 Her challenge this month is to create a page using 3 or more tags on your LO.
Here I used 6 tags, 3 of the tags I did embossing, and the other 3 I left blanks.
I also added a blue butterfly to one of my tags , I even added pinks stripe washi
tape to brighten the page. If you notice my great niece has a pink head band on.

April's Fool Day A little Late.

As we know the old saying of "April Showers brings May Flowers". Well not here in Wisconsin. We still have those dirty looking snow hills.

This is just a few hills of snow that I have left on my property. But yet there is still hope. On the other of my house we a little bit of Spring. Did I say Spring, yes here we see some new growth of my Tulips. These photos were taken today April 5, 2013.

So as you see, I still have Winter and yet a taste of Spring. 2 Seasons at once how lucky can I get.
