Hello

I was very excited to hear from my daughter Hannah yesterday, she has been in Germany the past week, she is having the time of her life. We will be picking her up on Wednesday evening. I'm so excited to see, she has been gone for almost 10 days. She went to Germany on her Spring break, also with her German Class.

Anyways, I have been busy doing lots of different things this past week, between my ATC's to making my tags, and finishing my entry for Paper Secrets. Plus I had time to make  a batch of Blueberry muffins. Don't they look good Yummmmmmmmmy....

I will start out with my sketch entry over at Paper Secrets. This is week 8. I have been doing the challenged called SCRAP YOUR ASS OFF IN 7 DAYS.
You have 7 days to do this Layout.

Here is my layout I just finished.

MEMORIES
In this layout I had made my flowers using the Tim Holtz Tatter Floral, one of my favorite die cuts. I used 2 of the larger petals and 2 of the medium size petals, then I attached them together using metal brad, then I ran them under water to so they were really wet, then I folded them up looking like a rose bud. As I let them set for awhile, then I unfolded the petals and let them dry. I think they turn gorgeous. Here is a closer look of them.
I might have to try this technique again. No matter what layout I  do .I always have flowers on it. I guess it's a girl thing, who doesn't loves flowers real or not.

Thanks for stoppin by:) until next time have a wonderful week.
Hugs

Hello, Hello, it's a beautiful day in Wisconsin. Can you believe this weather it's only March 16th and we are having fantastic tempertures, today high is going to be 75. Isn't that amazing. With NO snow, the trees are starting bud, tulips are popping up. UNBELIEVE weather we are having.

I'm going to start out with a couple of layouts I did over at Soul Scrappers.

He is my Rock
This Month: Lovely Debi, has provided us with this wonderful negative sketch. I used a picture of my hubby (Kelly). We have been married for 23 years. Just to make the layout a little interesting I add a real rock to my layout.

Moving right along we have our next challenge, Which is song/lyrics.
Shazza came up with the perfect song as always. An old country singer Willie Nelson:

Willie Nelson - BLUE SKIES

Blue skies smilin' at me
Nothin' but blue skies do I see
Bluebirds singin' a song
Nothin' but bluebirds all day long
----------------------------------------
So here is my take on the song/lyric.
I used "Bluebirds singin' a song
Nothin' but bluebirds all day long.

Bluebirds singin' a song.

It's just reminds me of spring , when our bluebirds come back from the South.
Their such a beautiful bird. The colors are so bright an cheery.
Until next  week  have a wonderful weekend.

Hello Ladies,

I do believe spring has made it to Wisconsin, why go away for Spring break when you can sit and relax here in Wisconsin  with temperatures at 75 degrees.   Just the other day, I had noticed the my tulips are coming up already, wow, it's only March 12th. I guess that Ground hog was wrong this time. Spring has arrive, I went walking the other and noticed 4 Robins.

Anyways ... over at Paper Secrets I have made it to Week 6. So here is the sketch  we had to use. Since I have been playing along with theses sketches.  I have won a 10.00 gift card to use in their shop. I thought great, more supplies, you can never have enough embellishments or designer paper. That was a very nice incentive. I'll have to see how far I make it.

In order to do this layout we are to use 4 of 10 embellishments plus an technique;
I used 6 on my layout.
Lace/Trim/Ribbon
3+buttons
3+flowers
rubons
3+ photo corners or anchors
bling
staples
3+ patterned papers

TECHNIQUES
stitching (hand-machine or faux)misting

Let's play Ponies
Here is my nieceCamille at the age 5. She would come over my house and bring all her little ponies. Then we sit for hours just playing with her Pretty ponies. I just thought these pictures were so darn cute.

I'll be back the end of week for a couple of my Layouts over Soul Scrappers.

Coming Soon Pictures from Germany

Until we meet again, have a fantastic week:)

NO MOre ExcuSes

Hello Ladies:)
Today I just uploaded my challenge for Soul Scrappers. It's funny how one little can mean so different in many ways. My word this month is No. Just two little letters strung together. Seemingly harmless but wow what an impact when you want something and are given no as an answer. Most people think of it as a negative word but I am starting to believe it helps me make personal decisions about what I want in my life and what I don't. For example I can say yes to courage and no to fear and it means the same thing really. But there is something about the word no that gives me courage against fear. Funny thing that little word.
Here is my example:

Moving right along we have a Sketch Challenge done by Karen over Soul Scrappers. Here is her sketch. I used some of Hannah's Feb.4  2012 Winter Carnival Photos.

My last entry is a  sketch I had found while I was blog hopping.
